...this was today's Friday sunrise over a small reservoir I run around at least twice a week. There is a visual metaphor there that we need to pause and reflect and then move on into what's next. The stillness. The beauty. The momentary calm. All that whispers to me, "Do that within your own masculine soul." And so, today's 8.1 miles of the walk/run exercise I put in as dawn was happening has informed this Friday and the weekend to come. Here are some of my questions for myself...I encourage you to ask the same for you:
What, intentionally, are you doing to make the most of this weekend?
Where do you need to pause and reflect?
When will you do that, yet today?
Or first thing in the morning?
What sorrow might need to be addressed?
What joy might need to be released and enjoyed?
What might be the first 1-3 steps to repairing a relationship?
This weekend, when will you take those steps?
When you wake up Monday, what will have taken place to let you know that this weekend was one of the better ones for you in 2015?
No matter your own circumstances, who needs an intentional word or deed of kindness in their own lives this weekend?
