Early Saturday morning: 28Sept13--even before the sun comes up.......
Some good friends of ours texted in the middle of last night that they have finally arrived from New Zealand. They will be here in the US of A for about a month. Traveling across so many time zones, the fact is that their internal clocks are going to be out of whack for a few days.
Writing this in our kitchen at 5:14am, before heading into town for a 7am breakfast at the downtown Snooze (favorite bfast place in the whole metroplex...) with one of the significant developing leaders I mentor from here in the Denver area, I'm laughing at myself. Spending 10 days on the east coast, I'm waking up back home here at 4am, and wishing for more sleep time. Such is not the case when my brain gets rolling. I hope and pray our friends clocks get adjusted soon.
The months ahead are going to find some of the most significant growth and change forward that we will have experienced in our work. No official launch date is set yet, but working with one of the more extraordinary graphic designers on the planet (not an over statement, a man of exceptional talent...), a new website for Leadership Design Group is taking shape.
All of our social media future is being guided by another exceptionally brilliant, creative and deep-hearted soul, Michael Worley. A team is forming for our future that quietly astounds me. That gratefulness is part of what woke me up this morning, shortly after 4 am. :-)
One of my favorite quotes has been captured by our web designer for use on the new website. The pic of yours truly was taken in Rocky Mountain National Park three summers ago when on a hike with a friend. Both set the tone for this day, and the glorious future that is showing up step by step, hour by hour, day by day, month by month.
The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark.
