Tuesday: 24Sept13--back at Annapolis with the midshipmen.
...read this sign carefully...of interest...
This past weekend in New York City, and now back here in Annapolis, I am amazed at the "recent history" that abounds. Of course, put our North American history up against other parts of the world, and we are "young." All the same, I enjoy reading about what took place just the length of a football field from where I am writing.
Tonight I've the deep privilege of sharing one more time about the Circle of Life Mentoring Model with a select group of midshipmen at the Naval Academy. Meeting with them last Thursday (NYC in between), I was sincerely impressed with the quality and character of those I met and interacted with.
Several of those excellent midshipmen have chased me down via texting and email. They have an honest hunger to learn more about mentoring as they further develop into their own unique, heaven-ordainded design as budding world leaders.
When the "it" of the Circle of Life Mentoring Model is understood, truly, watch out world. The careful and life-giving changes in the emerging leader cannot help but influence, for the good, those around them. Freedom becomes part of living life to the max, not just a pleasant concept our forefathers fought for.
This trip east, and the wide variety of conversations I've had with some remarkable souls the past ten days, has further set the directions and focus for where our own work is headed. For many reasons (first and foremost, I have missed my wife!) I can hardly wait to get home tomorrow and get our own next steps begun.
Encouraged for the future?
Never more so.
What about your own future?
