Thursday: 5Sept13--Of couse IT'S different. My feet aRe on the ground!
.......however, today I'm feeling that splendid quiet, deep-surging, oh whoa!, what-all-is-going-to-take-place-when-we-leap feeling that comes from stepping into an unknown future. However, this is a future that has been building all my life, and in the lives of 10 other younger men, ages 28-60.
Last October, way above New Mexico (like 20+ miles!), Felix Baumgartner lifted up in a helium filled balloon and then opened the door of his capsule (click back on this and watch the highlights...) and fell in a free fall, flew, tumbled, all the way back to Planet Earth. Sponsored by the creative and engaged crazies at Red Bull, he broke records of all kinds.
You and I will not, any time soon, at least, be taking that kind of leap. :-) But, in our lives we will often be asked to take other leaps. Some would say, of faith. Some would jump just for fun. And hopefully be alive on landing.
This weekend is like that for me. We are in a significant process of refocusing and rebranding what we are about.
Mentoring deveoping leaders, worldwide, is not changing. But our look and feel and content and intent will be more creatively and clearly focused. A Leadership Design Group website is in the making. A new logo/mark has been approved.
Even as I type, some of those 10 men I mentioned, from the business and non-profit sector, are even now flying toward DIA. Others will be coming tomorrow from throughout Colorado. Personally experiencing and learning from the Circle of Life Mentoring Workshop is our platform, tailored to their individual and dynamic needs. We will be at this for two life-challenging, life-changing days.
These men have been uniquely primed by serveral prior assignments to come and take their own leaps. These are men who will be changing their worlds. What a deep honor to have them here for this leadership intensive.
To say I'm excited about the shifts taking place within LDG is an understatement. And now, if you'll excuse me, I have to finish getting all the details accomplished, for which I'm responsible, so that tomorrow's well planned leap will be a success, no matter what our altitude.
large or small,
are you needing to make in your own life?
When will you finally do that?
