Saturday--9Feb13: 40/325
Between waking up @ 5am and it being 2:16pm as this blog post begins, it's been a busy and fruitful series of hours. We;ve been busy, in part, retooling the schedule for next week with a family funeral in AZ now needing to happen on Saturday.
We had a hope-filled and engaging conference call with our board of directors who phoned in from Littleton, CO, Rancho Sante Fe, CA, Gig Harbor, WA, Bellevue, WA, Dubai, UAR, and guests from Wichita, KS. One board couple from Westminster, CO joined us around our kitchen table for the call. What treasures of brilliance and care these people are. Thankful for them, each one.
Snow flakes are beginning to drift from the sky. We need the moisture. So let us have it. :-) Wishing the NE part of the US of A would send us some of theirs. And then...........our minds keep drifting back to our loved one, who died last night, and her family.
With this loss, even in the busy moments, I've been wondering afresh, "What is it like to slip through that thin veil? What must it be like to follow what some have described as that bright light into eternity? Can those there see back to here?"
Questions abound. That is OK.
What are some questions you may have today about dying, death, the process, the outcome, the when, the why, the how, the where?
This is legit to ponder from time to time,
because we will all have our turn.
Some day.
