Hospice
has begun
to help a beloved relative
(my wife's oldest sister)
get from
here to there.
One wonders with every beep/ring of our phones.
Has it been accomplished, that slipping through the "thin veil?"
Life does go on.
Even as we wait.
Praying for release from the misery of this last part of the journey.
When?
Not ours to know.
Until.
Good, loving, warm memories wait with us.
Thankfully.
