Tuesday--15Jan14: 15/350
Today will have begun and ended with special celebrations regarding two truly remarkable couples. Sandwiched in between will have been sorrow, fear for provision, sadness, wonder at provision, deep concern, confusion, joy at the possible, unfortunate attitudes--in other words, life.
This will have been a very full day of intentional, deep-change, whole-life, transformational mentoring by the time my head hits the pillow tonight. The 8 Dimensions of the Circle of Life will have been circled several times within these hours. Creative listening and responding has brought some steps to freedom where it has been desperately needed in some deeply valued lives.
After working out at Fitness19 on the treadmill here in Parker, beginning at 5am, the first moments of celebration were experienced when back home Skyping with Tyler Savage, who is living in Germany. Our mutual friend, Michael Worley, is responsible for getting the two of us together. We are both thankful to him for that welcome feat of friendship.
This is Tyler and his fiancé, Michelle Lincoln (who lives in the Chicago area), newly engaged (at his home in Las Cruces, NM) this New Years when he came home for the holidays to propose (you ladies would love the story on this one). This talented, ultra creative, deep-hearted couple is destined to help make our world a better place. What joy it is to count them as friends. It is an unexpected honor that they have invited me to do their pre-marital counseling. Their wedding will be some time this summer.
This day concludes at a celebration over in Highlands Ranch with Michael and Holly Worley. In June of 2008 is was a sacred delight to perform their wedding, with their pre-marital counseling taking place in the months before their beautiful and meaningful wedding.
It has been so good to see their love continuing to bloom and grow through the seasons of their young lives. They, too, are a couple who will be making a significant difference in our world in the years to come. Most thankful we get to personally journey with them into their futures.
So, tonight, their wonderful families and assorted special friends are gathering to hear the good news of...........drum roll please!.....................(Holly surprised Michael with this news while on vacation, thus the sign she is holding says, "I'm pregnant!" Great story on how this creative soul pulled off announcing this to her man.).......any way, tonight they have invited those meaningful and close to them to a “Reveal Party.”
What's a Reveal Party. Yup! You guessed it, we all get to find out whether Baby Worley will be a boy or a girl, or triplets, or....... Well, Holly is a twin/twin, so one never knows. :-) Except at this very hour (3:24pm) this future Mom and Dad do know first and will be sharing the news this evening. It's going to be great fun to experience their radient smiles and joy.
Never been to a Reveal Party before. Have you?
But here we go.
What a day this Tuesday will have been!

Linda and I and our family attended a "reveal" party when my son and daughter-in-law revealed their yet to be born baby. We all got a cup cake and took a big bite. If the inside was pink it was a girl. If the inside was blue, it was a boy. The big bite revealed BLUE! They have two little girls so everyone was excited that they were having a little boy.....He is now 7 weeks old!
