Dare you.
Double dare you.
Seriously.
A book came out this week that any and all who long to live well into an uncertain future need to read. "Yeah, yeah, yeah," you say. Another "must read" from the olde mentorman.
Yup...........!!!
Indeed.
Last evening, after my wife and I got home from another book signing here in Denver with a very good friend (that's another post, coming soon), we realized that a package had been left on our front porch. One of several deeply anticipated books was waiting.
Oh...........the discipline it took to not begin reading this long awaited tome. But I did read all the endorsements. A ton of them. Powerful words from people who care about the future of our world and future generations. If that be you, too, in any form or fashion, then this book is a must read.
Seriously.
Several years back I heard Roy H. Williams give his 90 minute Pendulum presentation (which he has now given over 250 times around our world) at the dedication of his business academy property south of Austin, Texas. It was a wild, storming day where the thunder overhead was only outmatched by the fire in Roy's soul that got transferred to the rest of us.
Neither my wife, nor I, would miss Roy's Monday Morning Memo--always well worth the time. These memos come from one of the more brilliant minds of our time.
Frankly, back to that dedication day, it was one of the more powerful days in my own aging life. It was one of those moments when my life turned a corner I did not know, until then, that needed to be turned. The calling on my life took on a new trajectory. Any whisper of thought of retirement fully disappeared. I will be eternally grateful.
Now, this book is finally out with the significant addition of Roy's vibrant co-author Michael R. Drew. If you have any influence over anyone any where on the planet, this does qualify as a "must read." Soon. Thank you, Roy and Michael.
For all of the people around the globe I've had the sacred privilege of mentoring the past 48 years; will be mentoring for the next 25 years (should my deep hopes come true to live to 95yo); and those truly amazing souls I currently mentor on four continents (in person and via Skype), this is one of those books that will eventually be required reading for going and growing forward.
Each of you has now been forewarned.
Those who do read Pendulum will thank me. The conversations we will have will take on new depth. The lives that will be changed for the better will increase. The authentic differences that will be created in our world will be noticable. The uncertain future will be more ready to be lived intentionally, with deep-change, throughout one's whole life (all 8 dimensions--not mentioned in the book, but this book embraces the Circle of Life mentoring model I've developed). Transformation will take place.
Seriously.
