Always, when Judy and I reach back into our past and begin to remember again (a most delightful story for a face-to-face conversation some time...not here) the night we first saw Curtis...and the next time when we actually had a brief conversation...we smile. Always.
We liked who he was then. As we got to know him, at some depth, we liked him even more. We really like him now. Easily...one of our favorite people on the planet...should we be allowed to have a few favorite people. :-)
...not just because of his creative brilliance (which is truly amazing...scares some people...engages the right people...almost an organizational 'prophet' for what needs to be happening next, and what might happen if one does not move in the best of directions)
...not just because of his designful, insightful intuition (he has the unusual capacity to see...to see way beyond, around and through to possibilities like few I've ever known)
...not just because of his honest self-awareness (he knows where he shines and where he doesn't, where he is strong and where he yet needs to grow)
...not just because of his "real man" attention to his marriage, family and friends (his devotion to those closest to him is a congruent model for all women and men I know, including me! He walks his talk from the inside out.)
...not just because he is willing to admit and own the foibles of his life (his willingness to explore and grow from the downsides as well as the upsides gives him an activated and larger heart for others, for this world, than most humans I know).
....if I had the coin to pay him what he's worth, I'd do so in a heartbeat, and turn him loose (for I know what he would do is help others to really, truly change the world beginning right where he would find those people and organizations and creatively influence those people beyond their dreams, hopes and necessary next steps...anywhere on the planet).
Now...Curtis isn't our only "favorite people." There are some amazing others...sincerely amazing. And Curtis isn't one of "those" people just because we share a delight-filled love of almost all things Disney. But he does shine bright in our sky filled with really good people we know...for whom I daily thank our God.
His blog for today pushed all these buttons on why I sincerely like Curtis Fletcher and am deeply grateful we are friends. Read his creative wisdom for today right here...and sign on for his future thoughts that just may take you where you need to be...and have wanted to go.
His words are keys that often unlock my own future...when I need a radical man I can trust to walk with me into whatever...wherever...whenever. Thanx, Curtis...........!

Thanks WES. CURTIS!! I don't know if you remember, but I was one of your students at the Dynamic Communicators Workshop years ago. Thank you for your investment in the DCW. I recall many of the creative lessons you taught me. Great to see you on here..and GREAT work on the blog. I love it!
