How often do you read a book a second time?
If you ever do...how soon after the first reading do you read that book again.......and maybe even again?
What do you believe draws you into do that reading again?

I re-read several books in 2011 and find myself doing it again in 2012.
Up extra early on this last Monday of January '12, in the sacred quiet of our home, I continued to read in Martin Laird's life-giving tome, Into The Silent Land: A Guide to the Christian Practice of Contemplation. We had the privilege of a family dream this past Christmas of being in Costa Rica...where I completed read this book...the first time. This past week I picked it up again...very grateful that I did, as the words carried me through a very important week and are preparing me for a significant two weeks to come.
Today I went to Fitness19 just before sunrise here in Parker to tackle the treadmill for four miles, and could not get this thought out of my mind that was formed from my own quiet introspection from what I read yet again this morning, invited to ponder from around pp 80-83...
When we move from being a victim to a witness of what is happening in our lives we begin to stop "shoulding" on ourselves. Let's keep that up and see where our deep longings, sacred dreams and radical imaginations may just take us.
