What a 24 hours!
At 4:38pm (Mountain Time Zone)
...just a few minutes ago...winter arrived!!
How do "they" figure this out?
Was great fun to call one of my favorite kids, by the name of Bergen (...who is into numbers in amazing ways...), and shared the moment with him, so he could, in turn, share it with his sisters and brother and parents. And I got home just in time (4:37pm) to share that moment of annual seasonal magic with my wife. What a kick...........!!!
And then...did anyone get to see that full eclipse of the moon last night? I didn't...sleeping soundly...as that happened here between 11pm and 1am. The last eclipse I saw was several years ago when in New Jersey with some special friends. It's is an amazing event to watch. Here is a pic that someone took in North Carolina...it shows the after glow of the full eclipse.
It's my understanding that the last moon eclipse that took place at the exact timing of the winter soltice (...like what happened at 4:38pm...) was 368 years ago in 1642...whoa! And according to whomever does these calculations...the next one will be in 2090...sorry, I won't be around for that one! :-)
So that's it for Tuesday's trivia. Have a good evening...!!!
