...lately, in those rare moments of even watching television, I've become the fastest "gun" in the west with regard to hitting the mute button when a political ad shows up
...it is my imagination, or are the politicos majoring in avoiding telling us what thay will be doing for us and instead smearing their opponents to hide their own lack of vision, integrity and character?
...where all could the $$$$$$$$$ that's been spent on the abundance of negative ads have been better used for the good of humanity here, there, elsewhere...for life-changing causes?
...and then I come across this as I get into this day and get reminded, one more time, of what we once upon a time declared we are to be about here in the United States of America
...we'll definitely send in our absentee ballots tomorrow (...hoping you will, too...or at least get up early next Tuesday to make your own important mark...should you be a citizen of this country...) to do our part, because it's part of what we are about here if we have any kind of even remote interest in what's taking place across the streets of our own lives and around the globe...and needs to be taking place, but might not be taking place if you and I don't vote both our heart and our conscience
...between now and then, should I be found watching any television, which is doubtful with the vibrant importance of the schedule in these next few days, I'll be keeping my finger close to the mute button and waiting carefully for a week from this Wednesday...........
...this pic was taken at sunset on 4 Jly '10 from the New Jersey shore (...the backside of the Lady Liberty...) by my Lady Judy. No matter from which direction one views this gift from France, the message remains. It was stunning to us that evening to observe and hear probably over fifteen different languages being spoken from this walk along the harbor. Grateful we were there. Grateful we are alive now...to make a difference.
