...today we attended a warm and meaningful memorial service to honor some special friends, and faithful supporters and prayer partners for our ministry...and not just for Leadership Design Group...but for their lively church fellowship...and other ministries and charities that were recipients of their deep hearts and generous spirits

...they lived, worked and worshiped northeast of Denver, out on the plains, and were revered by all who knew them

...pulling into the parking lot of their small country church, 20 minutes before the beginning of the service, we were mildly startled to see dozens of cars already there

...in the stark cold and wind of the bitter weather for today that was blowing in from Wyoming, the two hearses parked in front of the church brought home the truth that this special couple were murdered eight days ago

...motive for the travesty?

...who was the brutal murderer?

...yet to be known as an investigation continues

...dozens of "why's" crowded our souls, and everyone there who knew them, as their beloved pastor led us in remembering their lives

...adding to the starkness were the sheriffs who were in attendance, inside and out, wondering if the killer might show up, which sometimes happens in unsolved things like this...in reality...not just in the movies or on TV

...two plus years ago, when we celebrated LDG's 25th anniversary, it was our honor to have this couple at our table on that night

...to date, I've lived 24,339 days or 66 years, 7 months, 18 days
