...even though the Summer Soltice is still a few days away
...and I am always startled, encouraged and challenged by the last line of this poem by a favorite poet who helps me see life with a certain clarity and reality

...here in the US of A we are at Memorial Day Weekend (the pictures are from the memorial to President Franklin Roosevelt, who served from 1933-1945...one of the most impressive memorials in Washington, DC)
...up in Boulder, Colorado on Monday the Bolder Boulder will be run (one of the classic 10K races in the world)
...and the remembering is to be about all those in America who have given their lives in various wars down through the decades so that possibility of freedom might be available in our country and world
